With over a decade of experience in immigration law, Kiran Zabir is a well-established and trusted member of the Buckingham Legal Associates team. Accredited by the Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) at Level 1, she brings a depth of practical knowledge and a genuine commitment to her clients that has been built up and refined over years of hands-on casework experience. Those who work with Kiran quickly come to appreciate her careful, considered approach and the real care she invests in every case she takes on.
Kiran first joined Buckingham Legal Associates back in 2014 as an administrative assistant, having completed her Level 3 Diploma in Business Management at Aylesbury College. From those early days, her dedication and potential were clear, and over the years she has worked her way up to her current role as an accredited caseworker — a journey that reflects both her determination and the confidence the firm has always had in her abilities. Having been part of the team for over a decade, she has worked closely alongside some of the firm's most senior practitioners, gaining a broad and well-rounded understanding of immigration law and the realities of casework that only comes with real experience.
Her specialism lies in partner applications — an area of immigration law that, while it may appear straightforward on the surface, can in practice be extraordinarily complex and deeply personal. Partner visa applications require meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the Immigration Rules, and a sensitivity to the very human stories that sit behind each application. Kiran brings all of these qualities to her work, and her clients consistently benefit from her careful, methodical approach to building and presenting their cases.
Whether she is working on applications for spouse visas, unmarried partner visas, or fiancé visas, Kiran understands the enormous significance these applications hold for the people involved. The prospect of being separated from a loved one, or the hope of finally being united with them, is never lost on her, and that awareness drives her to ensure that every application she works on is as thorough, well-evidenced, and compelling as it can possibly be. She takes the time to understand each client's individual circumstances, guides them carefully through the documentation and evidence requirements, and ensures that nothing is left to chance.
Her work also extends to asylum and appeal cases, where she applies the same diligent and empathetic approach. Having worked across a broad range of immigration matters, Kiran has developed a well-rounded understanding of the immigration system that makes her a genuinely valuable member of the casework team.
Kiran speaks English, Urdu, and Punjabi, which allows her to connect with clients from a range of backgrounds and ensure they are fully understood and properly supported throughout their application.
Outside of work, Kiran is a devoted mother to two young children, which keeps her more than busy. When she does get a moment to herself, she enjoys travelling, reading fiction, and going for walks. She is a big Harry Potter fan — both the books and the films — and unwinds with Sufi music.
